Welcome from WSST
The Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers was founded in 1958. Today it is the largest
organization in Wisconsin of individuals interested in the advancement of science education.
The ballot for the WSST elections has an error for District 6. Please note that Shelly Rudnick-Peterson should be on the ballot, not Megan Litster. Any votes for Megan shall be counted as Shelly Rudnick-Peterson, as Shelly Rudnick-Peterson is running unopposed for the seat. Megan is currently a District Director for District 4 and is not up for re-election at this time. Sorry for any confusion. - Kathy Cady, WSST President

What interested you in a position with the
Department of Public Instruction?
Wisconsin is at a critical juncture in science education. After years of work in other content areas, many districts are moving forward with reviewing their science programs. The NRC Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards are inspiring interesting changes and introspection in Science instruction. I am excited to be a part of these developments and interested in seeing what will happen next in our state.
